Steps to Apply

**If your organization has applied for Sherwood Trust funding before, please DO NOT create a new organization profile online. Contact us and we will create a username and login linked to your organization’s profile.

  • Read through the Grant Guidelines to determine your organization’s eligibility.

  • Grant applications materials are all submitted online.

  • The person who will complete an application needs to create a profile in Foundant, our online system. If your organization has received a Sherwood Trust grant in the past, your organization may already have a profile; please call our office to help make sure your individual profile is connected to the organization history in our system.

  • Once you have successfully created a profile, you will login and push the “Apply” button at the top of the screen.

  • Before you submit an online application, you may schedule a meeting to discuss questions about your eligibility or your online application.

  • Complete and submit your online application on time - early applications welcome! Late applications are not accepted.

Additional Considerations

Sherwood Trust grants are competitive – there are always more requests than can be funded.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their grant proposal with Sherwood Trust in advance of submitting a request to ensure the grant proposal meets Sherwood Trust guidelines.
